Name:
Tori Bellentina
Qualifications:
Sexology Graduate From Curtin University.
Where do you practice?
My practice is located in Fitzroy and operates out of Passionfruit, a boutique at 414 Brunswick Street. Consultations are facilitated in private rooms upstairs and if requested there is private access to Passionfruit Shop outside of opening hours.
You can connect with me on Instagram or book consultations directly through Passionfruit.
Why do you love what you do?
I love being a trusted confidant, providing a safe space for individuals to share their most personal desires and concerns. It’s incredibly rewarding to support clients in rehabilitating their pleasure and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Why would someone come and see you?
I am a functional sexologist specializing in addressing sexual health concerns arising from medical conditions such as cancer, menopause, pelvic floor dysfunction, and disabilities that impact sexual function. My work focuses on practical solutions for challenges like vaginal dryness, and I have extensive experience supporting individuals with recurrent bacterial vaginosis and thrush.
I emphasize working with the "hardware" (tools and practical aids) to complement the "software" (emotional and psychological aspects) of sexual health.
In addition to individual consultations, I provide in-service training at hospitals across Melbourne, offering expertise on sexual wellness and rehabilitation methods.
When do you introduce the idea of lubricant with your patients?
I introduce the idea of lubricant from the very first step, as it can significantly enhance comfort and accessibility during intimacy. A high-quality, vagina-friendly lubricant can be a transformative tool for anyone embarking on a sexual wellness journey.
What’s your favourite fact about the female body?
If a menstruating person is missing a fallopian tube, the remaining tube can "reach over" to capture eggs from either ovary, ensuring ovulation and potential fertilization can still occur.
